A “Debbie Downer” Default State
I’m a reformed Debbie Downer. I struggled with depression and annoying health issues (like acne, an imbalanced gut, anxiety, depression, etc.) for years, but I’ve been working on changing my outlook and my health.
I thought for years that if I had everything I always wanted – a career in a creative field, a sweet family of my own, a finished album of songs I wrote myself, and some international travel thrown in for good measure – I would finally be happy. Until I had those things, depression was just my default state.
My Dreams Came True – Now What?
When all of those dreams and goals came true and I discovered I STILL hadn’t magically become happy, it occurred to me that I actually have a choice in in the matter. That’s when I got serious about changing my default state.
This blog is all about how I did it. Or really, how I’m doing it, since it’s still very much a work in progress. Ooh boy, is it ever.
And, since I’m not any more special than you are, this blog is also about how YOU can change your default state too! I have faith in you.
