A “Debbie Downer” Default State
I’m a reformed Debbie Downer. I struggled with depression and annoying health issues for years, but I’ve been working on changing my outlook and my health.
I thought for years that if I had everything I always wanted – a career in a creative field, a sweet family of my own, a finished album of songs I wrote myself, and some international travel thrown in for good measure – I would finally be happy. Until I had those things, depression was just my default state.
My Dreams Came True – Now What?
When all of those dreams and goals came true and I discovered I STILL hadn’t magically become happy, it occurred to me that I actually have a choice in in the matter. That’s when I got serious about changing my default state.
This blog is all about how I did it. Or really, how I’m doing it, since it’s still very much a work in progress. Hoo boy, is it ever.
And, since there’s nothing special about me, this blog is also about how YOU can change your default state too! I have faith in you.
